A very brief personal introduction

This is a fairly short and to the point video - it's not my life's story. It gives a little more insight about me. Hope this helps.

My personal teaching aim

I believe that everyone should be taught as an individual with respect. Getting the best out of every student and creating a working relationship. Facilitating an honest and open learning environment. To get the most out of my students who will both enjoy and be successful in their training.

The only instructor is me Ian Clark

I have been an Approved Driving Instructor for over twenty years. I am and always have been rated Top Grade by the DVSA. I'm very much a People Person - really like meeting new people and doing my best to make them feel at ease.

Experience

I have over the years been involved with different Driving Organisations including the IAM (Institute of Advanced Motorists) and RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents). I was a Gold Grade (Top) rated member with RoSPA.
Membership of the IAM and RoSPA is voluntary. Tests are conducted by either a serving or retired Class One police officer.
I currently hold a truck (articulated) and bus licences. I have also in the past taught people to drive trucks and buses.

As well as an ADI I am also registered with the DVSA as a Fleet Trainer. This means I am qualified to go into companies and risk assess qualified drivers who drive company vehicles. Included in this was classroom presentations talking to small and large groups about how to reduce accidents.
I do have an additional teaching qualification - Further and Adult Education Teachers' Certificate. This means that I am qualified to teach over 16 year olds in a classroom. Quite handy.

Finally I do enjoy design work. I have created this website and the videos and images. It has been challenging, great fun and very satisfying.
